BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Check before you begin
HA, warm standby, load balancing and disaster recovery are different scopes. The inspected documents include warm-standby evidence; real automatic failover acceptance with a shared management address and highly available database remains a separate open item. Contact destek@menabyte.com.tr for technical design.
Visual note: no suitable real HA/load-balancing screenshot without sensitive topology is available. A design diagram was not used as evidence of an operational system. This work changed no services, networks, databases or routing and ran no failover test.

011. Identify the service to protect
Define continuity expectations separately for management access, job dispatch, active transfers and restore. An accessible console does not establish health of the entire data path. Record business objectives and decision owners.
Expected resultScope, open issues and acceptance results are documented.
022. Match verified scope with support
Do not treat warm-standby acceptance as an automatic failover or active-active guarantee. The inspected documents leave real-environment acceptance of automatic switchover with a shared management address and highly available database open. Obtain current acceptance status for the installed release from support.
Expected resultScope, open issues and acceptance results are documented.
033. Plan dependency continuity
Assess database, catalog, repository access, identity and trusted connections alongside the application. A second management node alone does not make every dependency highly available. Do not publish internal architecture or connection details.
Expected resultScope, open issues and acceptance results are documented.
044. Assess duplicate-operation and inconsistency risks
Verify which component may initiate operations during failures against the supported architecture. Acceptance must cover prevention of duplicate backup or restore operations on the same source. Obtain technical coordination and isolation settings from support.
Expected resultScope, open issues and acceptance results are documented.
055. Plan isolated failover testing
In an authorized test environment, assess management-component and dependency outages as separate scenarios. Measure new-job, active-job and restore behavior. Do not stop production components based on this general guide.
Expected resultScope, open issues and acceptance results are documented.
066. Validate data and timing acceptance
Check catalog consistency, duplicate-job prevention and isolated-restore data acceptance alongside switchover duration. Report active-transfer continuation or restart behavior for the tested method. Do not generalize one successful failover to every failure type.
Expected resultScope, open issues and acceptance results are documented.
077. Document return and operations
Define return-to-normal, maintenance, monitoring and escalation ownership. Plan renewed acceptance after release or dependency changes. Contact destek@menabyte.com.tr with a requirements summary without secrets for technical architecture and acceptance documentation.
Expected resultScope, open issues and acceptance results are documented.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Does warm standby guarantee automatic failover?
No. Automatic switchover, dependency continuity, coordination and data acceptance require separate verification. Validate current installed-release scope with support.
